Created purchase of these NS-6490’s on clearance from the ’shack in drop 2009 and I’m glad I did. Credibly not worth current retail prices but grab them on markdown if you can. The exterior is beautiful even with the glaring caucasian woofers. The speaker has the postulated heft to dampen the 8″ woofer, and the reach should exist smooth with the option of provided driver sizes. Unfortunately we consumers but won’t know what it is open of until it gets a decently crossover. Inside you will detect no acoustic fill, which by itself isn’t unexpected in a aim at this pricepoint. However, there is no effective crossover. there are alternatively 2 capacitors acting equally bass blockers for the 4″ mid and the tweeter glued to the back of the terminal cup and the 8″ woofer runs full range. In a larger woofer this may not exist a problem equally the part coil simply wouldn’t drive higher frequencies; here it is. Budget for acoustic filling and a proper crossover, or run a new terminal cup and bi-amp with eq’s. I didn’t take the other reviews seriously nigh the lack of bass, chocking it up to the sealed design. Stock levels are woeful for the woofer and box size. I’m hoping some acoustic filling will turn away the bottom ending a little until I could have a decently laid of crossovers.

I bought this unit, for which I paid $70 – the lowest price I could find for a VHS player, for the funny design of copying my collection of VHS tapes to DVDs and, since it is guaranteed for one year, I ask that it will do selfsame nicely for my needs. In other words, formerly my tapes are copied, I do not ask to employment it much thereafter, if at all. Away of the box, it worked perfectly, extended quietly, and did not skip or produce gaps or sputters. It has automatic tracking but, as is frequently the suit with diverse media, one can frequently manually amend the tracking. Once I laid the tracking, it did not modify as I started/paused the playback in the outgrowth of editing the tapes. Many of my VHS tapes are entered at SP (6 hours per tape) and copying these to DVDs at EP (6 hours per DVD) did not lose a significant total of quality over and above the 6 hour tapes. In other words, as would normally be expected, extended recording times (tape or DVD) incessantly degrades picture quality somewhat; the viewer must decide what is acceptable (perhaps I am not that fussy). So, in a word, a swell auto for my needs thus far. If it bricks prematurely, I will berth back with the particulars.

I purchased this arrangement for $39.00 brand new. Sure, the bass isn’t totally there, merely it does got improve when you’re watching a picture with lots of bass. The speaker wires are short merely you can cause more speaker wire to build it work. I liked that totally the wires, ( speaker wires ) and ( rca jacks ) are colour coded or receive tags identifying where each wire plugs into.
I believe the arrangement sounds okay. You Can check the volume while watching TV. I don’t know what these other reviewers are talking about. Perchance they didn’t connect it correctly. There’s a switch on the back of the subwoofer that indicates, “TV” “DVD”. You must slide it to the appropriate position. Your TV will motive a red and white rca OUTPUT for this lineament to work. ~common sense~
The remote check is plausibly the worst thing about it. You receive to design the remote forthwith at the dvd player and no further than about six feet away. That’s the problem I experienced anyway. Evening with young Energizer batteries.

I got this CD changer when my factory installed changer/stereo broke about 8 mos ago. Received the guys at Best Buy install it with my new automobile stereo. Since then, I’ve been naught merely impressed. I was a small queasy at foremost about the apparent flimsiness of the disc holders in the cartridge, merely everything on the unit has held up beautifully, and the cartridge is stronger than it looks. And, about of all, what I love about this unit is how intuitive it is, strange in an aftermarket automobile stereo product. I can’t design away how to do presets on my new radio, merely this CD changer is a total no-brainer. And, the intelligent quality is at least equally good if not amend than what I received factory installed. What can I say, it merely works!
